Thailand here we come

Hello all,

I'm off to Thailand!

I'm going to Thailand with a small team from church to work with the Good News team in Bangkok. We'll be travelling with them to lots of schools to teach some english, sing some songs, tell them a bit about God and get to know the team. We'll pretty much be off the beaten track for the majority of the trip so we'll see the real Thailand rather than the tourist version.

One of the Goodnews team is a guy called Noi Non who came and stayed with us in Welly for 3 months, so we'll be spending a bit of time with him and his family in Chaiyaphum which is a rural area of Thailand, a 6 hour drive, north east of Bangkok.

We'll also fly north to Chiang Mai for 5 days there, we'll hang with Sharon T and the Cooks from our church (Lifepoint) in Welly. We'll help with building a hostel, visit an orphanage and have a free day for touristy things like riding elephants and bamboo rafting.

All in all it should be a bit of an adventure.
